Position Summary

The Satellite Senior Dining Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the health, connection, and well-being of older adults within our community. This position oversees the daily operations of assigned Catholic Charities Senior Dining locations-including rural sites-to ensure welcoming, high-quality service for all diners.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Program Management

    • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned Senior Dining sites in alignment with program policies and procedures.
    • Welcome, register, and engage with diners to create a warm, friendly, and supportive atmosphere.
    • Provide information and referrals to additional community services when appropriate.

Recordkeeping & Administration

    • Track and report meals served and maintain accurate activity records.
    • Complete documentation for Insurance/Waiver meals and ensure proper authorizations are obtained.
    • Record diner contributions and process deposits.
    • Order non-food supplies and submit weekly reports to the Senior Dining administrative office.

Volunteer Coordination

    • Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers to help deliver a positive Senior Dining experience.
    • Maintain clear communication and ensure volunteers understand their roles.

Social & Wellness Programming

    • Plan and promote social, health, and wellness activities for diners.
    • Communicate regularly with participants to keep them engaged and informed.

Community Outreach & Marketing

    • Promote the Senior Dining Program through local media, community partners, and public events.
    • Represent Catholic Charities at senior expos, fairs, government meetings, and other community gatherings.

Meals on Wheels Coordination

    • Oversee and assess the Meals on Wheels program for assigned areas.
    • Conduct annual in-home assessments to determine eligibility.
    • Connect clients with additional community resources when needed.

Food Service Support

    • Set up on-site meal service and ensure food safety standards-including temperature requirements-are met.
    • Track additional food items and coordinate returns to the meal production site.

Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Job Related Experience: Minimum of Two (2) Years' of related experience
