Key Responsibilities

Field Operations

  • Work alongside painting crews on job sites — residential and commercial — to lead by example and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Perform all phases of interior and exterior painting including prep work, masking, spraying, rolling, brushing, and minor repairs.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of job sites to monitor progress, ensure adherence to company standards, and troubleshoot any field issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Crew Supervision & Team Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of multiple painters and subcontractors.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure jobsite readiness.
  • Train new painters on techniques, safety, and company procedures.
  • Motivate team members and foster a professional, respectful work culture.
Project Oversight & Scheduling

  • Assist with project planning, job scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects stay on track with deadlines, budgets, and customer expectations.
  • Communicate project timelines and updates to management and clients.
  • Identify and proactively address delays, material shortages, and other project risks.
Quality Control & Customer Service

  • Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
  • Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues as needed to management.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site and maintain excellent client relationships.
Logistics & Administration

  • Coordinate deliveries and manage jobsite materials and equipment.
  • Track and document labor hours, progress reports, and field notes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Assist in estimating jobs and providing input on scopes of work when required.
Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience, including interior/exterior, residential, and commercial.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a trades or construction environment.
Skills

  • Strong technical painting skills — spray, roll, brush, surface prep, masking, drywall patching, etc.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret job scopes, blueprints, or work orders.
  • Basic math and computer literacy (time tracking, work orders, mobile apps).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality.
