Job description

Job DescriptionSupport and lead the daily activities of the Machine Maintenance Department by directing the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of injection molding machines. Provide leadership, training, and guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable machine performance.Responsibilities
  • Serve as a front-line leader for the Machine Maintenance Department.
  • Direct and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on injection molding machines.
  • Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective actions to improve machine efficiency, performance, and scrap reduction.
  • Stay informed on production priority changes and communicate updates to MM team members.
  • Share necessary technical and departmental information with team personnel.
  • Pursue training opportunities to continuously improve maintenance capabilities.
  • Assist department personnel in obtaining appropriate technical training.
  • Motivate team members to identify and implement improvements to equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Facilitate administrative processes such as paperwork, documentation, and training coordination within the department.
  • Take control of equipment during situations involving potential for personal injury or rapid equipment deterioration.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and lead the department's safety initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Equipment specific knowledge on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
