Job description

Position Summary
Salt Lake Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to join our Health Information Management team. This role supports the hospital's quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and helping drive positive patient outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support hospital-wide quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Collect, track, and analyze quality data and clinical outcome metrics
  • Assist in preparing reports for quality committees, leadership, and regulatory bodies
  • Support audits related to Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory compliance
  • Review medical records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain documentation related to quality metrics, incident reports, and corrective action plans
  • Participate in quality committee meetings and assist with agenda preparation and follow-up

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in healthcare quality, compliance, or health information management preferred
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS regulatory standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
