Quality Assurance Associate Engineer

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Associate Engineer supports Power Generation Services (PGS) by applying quality assurance and quality control principles to help ensure products and services meet customer expectations. This internship provides hands-on exposure to Mitsubishi Power Americas Quality Management System (QMS), non-conformance tracking, corrective action processes, quality data analysis, and cross-functional improvement activities. The role supports quality documentation, reporting, training, and continuous improvement efforts while collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Outage Services teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support root cause analysis activities using the 8D format, including documentation and containment action tracking. 
  • Assist with corrective and preventive action initiatives, implementation follow-up, and status tracking. 
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze non-conformance data in support of quality improvement efforts. 
  • Assist with maintaining the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) database and related quality records. 
  • Support identification and interpretation of quality data trends using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools. 
  • Assist with development and maintenance of quality KPIs to help identify issues and improvement opportunities. 
  • Support quality training program development and documentation activities. 
  • Assist with review of customer and supplier inspection and test plans. 
  • Support development of quality procedures and specifications aligned with the MPWA Quality Management System. 
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Outage Services teams to support quality initiatives and issue resolution.
