Job Summaryย 

The Quality Specialist I - Inspector is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic inspection tasks such as incoming and in-process verification. This position works under close supervision to ensure components and assemblies meet documented requirements.ย 

  • Perform incoming inspections of materials and components following detailed instructions.ย 
  • Conduct in-process visual checks to verify conformance to specifications.ย 
  • Document inspection results accurately in logs or electronic systems.ย 
  • Identify and escalate nonconformances to senior inspectors or supervisors.ย 
  • Comply with safety, ESD, and cleanroom requirements as applicable.ย 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection tools and workspace.ย 
  • Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.ย 


Key Metrics and Focus Areasย 

  • Accuracy and timeliness of inspection documentation.ย 
  • Adherence to inspection procedures and escalation protocols.ย 
  • Support for incoming and in-process inspection throughput.ย 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.ย 
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to follow written instructions.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.ย 
  • Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and drawings.ย 
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Experience in manufacturing or quality inspection environment.ย 
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR).ย 
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers or micrometers.ย 

Physical Requirements / Essential Functionsย 

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during inspections.ย 
  • Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.ย 
  • Visual acuity for detailed inspection work.ย 
  • Lift and move items up to 20 lbs occasionally.ย
