Job description

QA - Quality Inspector (FGE Position)

  • Position is located in East Liberty Honda and Topre Springfield, OH
  • This position includes Mileage stipend and a Daily food per diem $$

Summary

Understand reaction plan on non-conformance; performance production process audits according to check sheet; capable to: perform verification and sign off for change point notice; understand and explain sort/rework activity; understand important quality documents, control plan, inspection standards, quality procedures, logs, etc.; understand stamping parts, sub-assemblies; as well as, components and identify defective conditions. Reports and communicates issues daily to Topre plant.

Qualifications

  • Previous Quality experience (preferred), solid communication skills, knowledge of; or ability to easily learn Topre America
  • Policies / Procedures. Understanding of sort and โ€œcomplete containmentโ€; meet Topre America attendance and point requirements.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret English documents such as training, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to read Scale, Taper Gauge, Calipers (digital and manual), Micrometers (digital and manual), Height Gauge and other measurement devices.
  • Ability to commute daily to Honda East Liberty Plant. Rework parts.
  • Assists in containment of Suspect Material or Product.
  • Verification of the QUALITY of product being produced in various zones within plant.
  • Ability to commute daily to Honda East Liberty Plant (Mileage or Fuel cost and daily per diem for food will be paid*)
  • Assists in containment of Suspect material or product.
  • Rework parts as needed.
  • Verification of the quality of product being produced in various zones within plant.
  • Complete tasks given from Honda and TOPRE.
  • Document and Communicate test results with QE (Quality Engineer) and Management
  • Daily feedback to QE or Quality Manager of any findings or issues.
  • Attendance / Punctuality is key - must consistently be at work and on time.
  • Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
  • Hours at Honda may vary due to production โ€“ Should have ability to work at TOPRE facility to fulfill hours or work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as be assigned.
