Job description

The Career:

Are you passionate about innovation, quality, and making a difference? QA1 is looking for a talented Quality Inspector to join our team in Lakeville, Minnesota. As a member of the QA1 team, youโ€™ll be responsible for inspecting incoming and in-process parts, document results, and help drive continuous improvement across our operations. What You Will do:

  • Inspect purchased and manufactured products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to detect defects or deviations.
  • Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Review engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate inspection and documentation.
  • Report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and expand quality control knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1

The Critical Skills and Experience Youโ€™ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year in similar capacity; with desire to expand skills in this area
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and prints
  • Prior experience in inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.) with desire to expand skills in this area
  • Ability to independently use a variety of inspection tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, scales, tape measure, indicators)
  • Demonstrable technical proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Person people want to work with
  • Excellent time management
  • Demonstrated advanced math, reading and English communication skills.
  • Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision
  • Must be available and open to the idea of cross training + learning
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including extended standing 8-10 hours a day with occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities
  • Demonstrable strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office products and capable of quickly training and becoming proficient with ERP system (Syteline)
