JOB TITLE
[Quality] (QC) AQ Interior/Exterior Specialist II
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • As the person in charge of quality control of completed vehicles will:
  • Report to the Assistant Manager of Quality Control
  • Support planned team activities.
  • Maintain quality test equipment at the plant and Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
  • Support in-line team with recommended actions and drive quality improvement through coordination, monitoring, and performing specialize technical process/ related functions directly related to completed vehicle inspection.
  • Facilitate, lead and drive improvement for First Time through (FTT) concerns, repetitive concerns, and field issues.
  • Recommend actions and drive quality improvement through collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and equipment issues.
  • Analyze internal and external quality indicators and determine quality trends to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, and Productivity metrics.
  • Research and investigate quality issues to determine root cause.
  • Manage execution of HMGMA process and vehicle evaluation activities.
  • Execute and implement quality inspection and improvement activities of mass-produced vehicles and conducting activities to identify new vehicle projects analysis of completed vehicle to ensure its high quality and conformity to international standards.
  • Lead the team activities, including inspection card specification, format, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain inspection card/ systems, and equipment (printers/scanners etc.)
  • [Recruitment] - Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • [Quality Inspection] Activities to establish/improve inspection methods and prevent leakage/ flow out post-processes.
  • [Quality Inspection] Lead development of inspection standards and criteria for Line Inspection to use.
  • [Quality Inspection] Utilize Quality Index Reports to focus shop specific process audits, shop quality level, strength, weakness, and areas for improvement - through data, validation, countermeasure, implementation, and effectiveness.
  • [Quality Inspection] Coordinate In-line Process evaluation activities for a sound and secure inspection system for a defect free vehicle to our customers
  • [Quality Inspection] Coordinate Process workstation evaluation - validate Production/inspection activities for safety & critical check points.
  • [Improvement] Lead analysis of the cause of the vehicle problem, improvement activities with all shop teams, audit, preparation, and implementation of quality meetings
  • [Improvement] Analyze inspection data and findings, communicate finding, and drive problem resolution and improvement in new model and current models.
  • [Improvement] Facilitate, recommend actions, and drive improvement through the quality and production departments for completed vehicle quality and continuous improvement activities.
  • [Facility Manage] Quality facility/equipment management, investment cost execution/ management, supplementary investment establishment.
  • [External Task] Preparation, consultation, and coordination of external events
  • [New vehicle] Participation in new vehicle projects (preparation for inspection, establishment of quality securing plan, and response to evaluation)
  • [New Vehicle] Validate Pilot build quality, and audit / validate new model critical customer quality concerns.

[Other Duties]
  • Oversee and manage ongoing systems, operation, monitor performance.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of processes and quality management systems.
  • Conduct monitoring of vehicle faults.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree required (preference: STEM)
  • Minimum 0-10 years of related job experience (experience in Auto manufacturing, new model launch, and Quality control preferred)
