Job description

We're hiring a Quality Control Inspector / CMM Programmer in Windsor!
  • Full time position
  • Afternoon shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
  • Up to $34/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Program, operate, and maintain Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software
  • Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing production parts
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Verify dimensional accuracy of precision-machined components against engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Conduct inspections using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision equipment
  • Review material certifications and manufacturing documentation
  • Generate inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records
  • Investigate non-conforming products and support corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, CNC Machinists, Production, and Project Management to resolve quality issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Inspection experience in a precision machining environment
  • Minimum 3 years of Hexagon CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance CNC machined components
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Experience in nuclear, defence, aerospace, or medical manufacturing is an asset
  • Knowledge of CSA N299, ASME Section III, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, or Controlled Goods Program requirements is an asset
  • Experience with First Article Inspection, RCCA, or ERP/MRP manufacturing systems is an asset
