We currently have an opening for a Quality Engineer I at RCD, located in Manchester, NH. This position is critical to the success of iNRCORE and will be supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance systems, processes, and product integrity across manufacturing operations. This position reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate for this position should be technically inclined with a strong foundational understanding of quality engineering principles, eager to develop expertise in electronic component manufacturing, capable of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Details of the Role: The Quality Engineer I is an entry-level engineering position responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and processes within an electronic components manufacturing environment. During the course of a standard day you will be expected to work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer I assists with root cause investigations, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive product quality and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
  • Assist in investigating nonconformances, customer complaints, and internal quality issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys)
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
  • Review and analyze production and inspection data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve product quality and process capability
  • Assist with first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product validation
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and follow-up actions
  • Help develop and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, work instructions, and inspection procedures
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and assist with supplier corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO9001/AS9100)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma projects

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or a related technical field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Basic understanding of quality principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, preferably in electronic components or similar industries
  • Exposure to quality standards such as ISO9001/AS9100
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with quality or statistical software is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
