Quality Technician

This position is located On-site in our Bellingham, WA location.

Birdon is seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Quality Technician to join our team and ensure the precision and compliance of our products. As a Quality Technician you will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards by conducting measurements, inspections, and analyses of components and assemblies.

This is a hands-on position that requires close and effective working relationship with manufacturing, engineering, assembly & test, project management, administration, purchasing and warehousing.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Receive, review, and verify incoming materials, parts, and components against purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements; accurately enter inspection results and related information into the ERP system to support traceability and inventory control.
  • Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections on components, assemblies, and finished products using appropriate inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices; confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, material certifications, and traceability records; ensure documentation is complete, organized, and available to support internal processes, customer requirements, and regulatory or contract compliance.
  • Identify, document, and communicate suspected nonconforming materials, parts, or processes; support containment activities, assist with nonconformance reporting, and work with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to help resolve quality issues.
  • Support internal audits, process checks, and Quality Management System activities by following established procedures, collecting objective evidence, and helping ensure compliance with company, customer, and applicable quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, assembly and test, project management, purchasing, warehousing, and administrative teams; maintain a clean and safe work area, follow company safety and quality procedures, and perform other related duties as assigned.
