Job Details:
Position: Wire Harness Design Engineer

Must be able to travel internationally to China, Vietnam, Malayasia, Hong Kong.

Salary range $110k-$120K

Job Description:
Select and specify wires, cables, terminals, connectors, seals, conduits, sleeving, and protective materials based on application requirements. Conduct design reviews and perform interference, clearance, and fitment analyses using 3D CAD models.

Send suppliers Request for Quotes (RFQs) to obtain pricing and lead times on components.
3-5 years in Wiring Harness Design

Occaisionally make calls to Asia clients

The Wire Harness Design Engineer is responsible for collaborating directly with Airspeed's customers to develop wire harness assemblies and electrical interconnect solutions that meet design, quality and manufacturing requirements. This role collaborates closely with overseas mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable harness solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop wire harnesses for various applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct simulations and tests to validate wire harness performance.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports for design processes.
- Identify and resolve design issues promptly and effectively.
