Project Engineer Intern – Arizona

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is looking for a Project Engineer Intern to join our team in Arizona. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects.
  • Learn construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.
  • Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
  • Develop a first‑hand understanding of job‑site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or a closely related field.
  • Within 18 months of graduating.
  • Able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three‑month term.
  • Basic knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
Compensation

Hourly base pay range: $20‑$25 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as location and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or incentive program.
