We are looking for self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to support project management activities within our Quality Systems department. This position provides valuable real-world experience for students pursuing future careers in Project Management, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Quality Systems, Operations, Process Improvement, or Information Systems.

The Co-Op will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams across Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Management while supporting project coordination, data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS), business process optimization, data visualization, and project execution in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Co-op Timing and Duration: June 2027 through December 2027

Position Summary

The Quality Systems Co-Op will support a variety of Quality Systems initiatives, including project coordination, data analytics, reporting, process improvement, and system administration activities. The student will assist with maintaining project documentation, analyzing business and quality data, developing reports and dashboards, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the organization. The intern shall support our quality group by building data analytics, report generation, and visualization apps. The right candidate shall exhibit skills of re-designing our SharePoint web applications.

This position is ideal for students interested in Project Management, Quality Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related disciplines seeking practical experience in a collaborative corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of Quality Systems and business improvement projects.
  • Assist with project meetings by preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Monitor project tasks, timelines, and deliverables while providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Create, organize, and maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
  • Analyze data from various business and quality systems to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and project tracking tools.
  • Support data collection, validation, and reporting activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of system updates and process improvements.
  • Help prepare presentations, summaries, and communications for project teams and management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating business processes and recommending efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Quality Management System (QMS) activities and operational objectives.
  • Assist with administration and reporting activities within platforms such as SharePoint, Power BI, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and other business systems.

Required Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and project lifecycle concepts.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data organization concepts.
  • Exposure to SharePoint, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, or similar business applications.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
