Job Description

Job purpose

Responsible for assisting with the implementation, management, and administration of the quality management system and ensuring products are manufactured per quality and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.                                                                                                                                                  

Main Accountabilities and tasks

  • May participate in "on the floor" audits of production personnel to ensure adherence to procedures and training effectiveness
  • Conducts sampling, product testing, and visual inspection of components and/or finished goods; identifies nonconformances, if any, and ensures proper containment as required
  • Completes accurate, timely, and legible documentation of all inspection/testing data
  • Participates in weekly production walk-throughs to ensure quality compliance
  • Engage in Safety, Quality, Production, and Plant related programs as required (Safety Observations, Meetings, Gembas, etc.)
  • Participates in continuous improvement objectives to assure compliance with regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes for medmix USA
  • Maintains quality records procedure and coordinates non-conformance reporting
  • Compiles, analyze, and interprets statistical data related to quality operations
  • May be required to cover position on their assigned shift due to absences for vacations, leave, etc.
  • Perform all other miscellaneous duties as appropriately directed by Quality Management or designate
Qualifications

Desired experience and qualifications

Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a regulated workplace preferred

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent with education and experience.

Other:

  • Experience with injection molding processes, parameters, and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality role preferred.
  • Proficiency in personal computers, especially word processing software, spreadsheets, presentation, and database software.
  • Ability to learn quickly and maintain the Quality Assurance metrics
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or the ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge as required for system compliance
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly and to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be organized and can follow a systematic method of performing tasks and the ability to organize and direct a project to completion
  • Must be self-directed and motivated to optimally utilize the available time to organize and complete expected work within given deadlines and reasonable work schedules
  • Communication skills, both oral and written, as required to communicate effectively with others at all levels in the organization and to provide clear and concise reports and policies as needed. Ability to effectively present information publicly
  • Ability to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departments.
