Quality Control Technician (Sheet Metal)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Technician to support our manufacturing team by ensuring all products meet strict quality and customer specifications. This role is responsible for inspecting machined parts, performing measurements, documenting inspection results, and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process in a precision manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured sheet metal parts to verify quality standards
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges to inspect parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and product conformity to customer requirements
  • Identify defects, non-conforming materials, and production inconsistencies
  • Record inspection data and maintain accurate quality documentation and reports
  • Work closely with machine operators and production teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Conduct first article inspections and support corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and production procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection equipment and workstations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing environments with precision sheet metal.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators)
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand manufacturing tolerances
