Job Description
This role offers a range of $24.00 to $34.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.
Are you a detail-oriented person who enjoys putting out a high-quality product? We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for our Ink Lab. Check out this opportunity to be part of our team and contribute to our growth and success. As a Quality Control Tech, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings
  • Completing associated clerical work (entering results into SAP, printing labels, filing, etc.)
  • Performing 5S cleaning and maintaining the area
  • Establishing and maintaining accurate and complete quality records in SAP
  • Performing color quality tests; making batch additions and adjustments
  • Implementing necessary and timely batch corrections directly to Production
  • Calibrating and verifying test equipment
  • Investigating and analyzing non-conforming batches (internal and external)
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing
  • Ensuring sample retention management
  • Performing some customer proofing

Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Be able to pass a color vision test
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
  • Be flexible to cover other shifts if needed
  • Have excellent verbal, written, reading comprehension and good math skills
  • Have 6 to 12 months previous Lab/QC related work experience
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:
  • An understanding of manufacturing operations and basic aspects of printing technologies
  • Experience working in a high volume department
  • Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing facility
  • Trade or Tech school
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
