Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for Direct Hire Quality Control Inspector (1st and 2nd shift available) in Camarillo, CA. 

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality and compliance.
  • Inspect raw materials, components, and finished goods against specifications and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and initiate nonconformance reports when quality issues are identified.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to product or process deviations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with GMP and internal requirements.
  • Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, rulers, and other inspection tools.
  • Review production and quality documentation prior to product release.
  • Assist with quality reporting, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE in controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance

This is a full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality documentation practices. 
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools, including calipers and gauges. 
  • Ability to identify, document, and communicate quality issues effectively. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience working with electronic records or quality systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively on a team. 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments. 
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA-regulated manufacturing standards.
  • Experience supporting corrective actions, nonconformance investigations, or root cause analysis. 
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Syteline. 
  • Exposure to sterilization, irradiation, or similar controlled manufacturing processes

Pay rate: $24-25 per hour.
