Requirements
About The Role:The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products-specifically Power Distribution Units (PDUs), switchgear, and related assemblies-meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards including ISO 9001:2015, UL 891, and OSHA requirements.
This role plays a critical part in preventing defects, ensuring product safety, and supporting compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
What You'll Be Doing:
Inspection & Verification
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on PDUs, switchgear, and components
  • Verify builds against:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Work instructions
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical inspection checks prior to test release

Documentation & Records (ISO Critical)
  • Complete and maintain:
    • Inspection records
    • Nonconformance reports (NCRs)
  • Ensure all documentation meets ISO 9001 traceability requirements

Nonconformance & Corrective Action
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material
  • Initiate NCRs
  • Participate in root cause investigations using the OIS (Opportunity for Improvement Session)
  • Verify corrective actions have been properly implemented

Process Compliance & Floor Presence
  • Perform floor audits / spot checks to ensure:
    • Production follows procedures
    • Safety requirements are met
    • Build status signage is accurate
  • Enforce adherence to:
    • QC checkpoints

What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with electrical assemblies (PDUs, switchgear, control panels preferred)
  • Ability to read:
    • Electrical schematics
    • Mechanical drawings
    • Wiring diagrams

Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in PDU, power electronics, electrical equipment, or electromechanical manufacturing.
โ€ข Knowledge of UL/IEC safety standards for power distribution products.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspection tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.
