Funxion White Glove Service specializes in high-end receiving, storage, inspection, deluxing, and white-glove delivery of furniture and fixtures for residential and corporate clients. Our reputation is built on precision, accountability, and presentation. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Furniture Inspector to join our receiving and operations team.
Position Overview

The Quality Control Furniture Inspector is responsible for inspecting furniture upon receipt and prior to delivery to ensure accuracy, condition, and presentation meet Funxion’s white-glove standards. This role also performs basic deluxing services when items arrive dusty or lightly soiled. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality, has a strong eye for detail, and understands the importance of protecting high-value client assets.
Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Documentation

  • Verify quantities, product specifications, and condition against packing slips and receiving documents
  • Identify damage, defects, or discrepancies upon receipt
  • Accurately document issues with detailed notes and photos
  • Properly label, tag, and prepare items for storage or delivery
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly with receiving, operations, and office teams
Quality Control & Deluxing Responsibilities

  • Inspect furniture and fixtures for damage, defects, and overall cleanliness
  • Perform basic deluxing services as required, including dust removal, surface cleaning, and light wipe-downs
  • Use approved cleaning materials and methods appropriate to furniture type, material, and finish
  • Identify items requiring advanced cleaning, repair, or refinishing and escalate per company procedures
  • Ensure all inspected and deluxed items meet Funxion’s white-glove quality standards prior to storage or delivery
Operational Support

  • Repack items securely after inspection or deluxing
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inspection area
  • Follow company safety, handling, and quality procedures
  • Support receiving and warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications

  • Previous experience inspecting furniture, fixtures, case goods, or upholstery preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify damage, defects, and cleanliness issues
  • Comfortable performing light cleaning/deluxing as part of quality control
  • Ability to document findings clearly using mobile devices or tablets
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle furniture safely with a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Experience in warehousing, receiving, or logistics environments is a plus
  • English proficiency required (reading and writing inspection notes)
