Job description

NOW HIRING: QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Location: Hayward, CA
Starting Pay: $20.00
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our client's Quality Department. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards before entering production.

The ideal candidate has experience in quality control, incoming inspection, or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment and is comfortable reading engineering drawings and using inspection equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspections of incoming materials for quantity, cosmetic condition, workmanship, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Verify materials against engineering drawings, customer specifications, purchase orders, travelers, and quality requirements.
  • Use basic inspection and measurement equipment to verify specifications.
  • Document inspection results using electronic quality systems.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure product traceability.
  • Identify, document, tag, and segregate non-conforming materials.
  • Communicate inspection findings with Production, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Properly stage, label, and release accepted materials for production.
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent contamination or damage.
  • Follow quality procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred OR 3+ years of experience in Quality Control, Incoming Inspection, or Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in precision manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Experience using basic inspection/measurement equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality record systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
