* Variable shifts, days, nights and evenings (5X8) shifts per week

Required Certifications & Licensure: CRCST or CSPDT certification, or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS).

Duties:

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Quality Control Technician ensures the highest standards of instrument cleanliness, assembly accuracy, and quality assurance in sterile processing operations. This role combines hands-on technical processing responsibilities with detailed inspection and documentation tasks critical to patient safety and process reliability. This position focuses on quality assurance beyond standard sterile processing technician duties, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety and process excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
-Follow all ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company Work Instructions.
-Decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.
-Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required.
-Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines.
-Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively.
-Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging.
-Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs.
-Maintain accurate and timely records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels.
-Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage.
-Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking.
-Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels.
-Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
-Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized.
-Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures.
-Communicate effectively with internal team members, operations personnel, and distribution staff.
-Provide feedback and suggest improvements to workflow and procedures.
-Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and competencies.
-Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a fast-paced, climate-controlled indoor environment with controlled access, frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and strong odors, moderate noise levels, and regular use of PPE while standing for extended periods.
