At Tyson Foods, we believe that our team members are the heart of our success. Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can make a significant impact? Join Our Team in the Prepared Foods Division as a Shipping Supervisor!

SUMMARY: This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit. This position is responsible for maintaining high production quality and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process accurate record keeping and general line maintenance and staffing.

Responsibilities:

Supervise Daily Production Operations:

  • Monitor daily production orders to ensure customer order fulfillment.

  • Ensure proper shipment and on-time delivery to customers, maintaining a 100% order fill rate.

  • Coordinate with team members to ensure all positions are filled before production startup.

  • Oversee team member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.

  • Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.

Compliance and Safety Management:

  • Ensure all workstations pass USDA Inspection.

  • Promote safety daily and conduct monthly safety meetings.

  • Ensure accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.

  • Oversee various processing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Keep records of reworked or returned products.

Human Resources and Team Building:

  • Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to team members.

  • Provide encouragement to build an effective team.

  • Perform human relations functions including training, retention, and counseling.

  • Address personal and professional problems as needed.

  • Responsible for accurately recording Time & Attendance for Team Members.

Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:

  • Educate team members on the importance of quality.

  • Work with other supervisors to solve problems and improve processes.

  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses is preferred.

  • Experience: 6 months of warehouse experience required. Previous supervisor or lead experience required. Forklift and or Pallet Jack experience required.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.

  • Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

  • Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
