Position Summary:
This role is critical to ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance in our U.S.-based manufacturing facility. The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for building the local quality management system, driving in-process quality control, leading customer complaint handling and problem resolution, and managing quality improvement initiatives to ensure that products meet standards specific to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or other precision electrical equipment manufacturing industries.
The ideal candidate should have experience in factory quality control management, be familiar with BESS, battery modules, inverters, or electrical assembly, and demonstrate strong skills in problem-solving, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality System Development & Maintenance
  • Establish and maintain a local quality control system in compliance with ISO9001, customer standards, and corporate requirements.
  • Organize and maintain quality procedures, inspection standards, and quality records.
  • Prepare for and lead customer and third-party audits, ensuring timely and thorough closure of findings.
2. Manufacturing Process Quality Control
  • Oversee IQC, IPQC, and FQC activities to ensure process stability and product consistency.
  • Promote use of quality control tools such as SPC and CPK to enhance process capabilities.
  • Monitor defect rates and quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Customer Quality Interface & Issue Resolution
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action responses for customer complaints.
  • Prepare 8D reports and lead internal quality review meetings (weekly/monthly).
  • Support quality planning and assurance during new product introduction (NPI), pilot runs, and mass production.
4. Supplier Quality Support (SQE)
  • Assist HQ in auditing and managing key component suppliers.
  • Coordinate local material quality issues, including returns and temporary workaround solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in BESS, battery modules, PCS, BMS, or precision electrical equipment manufacturing.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 quality system and customer audit requirements; internal auditor certification preferred.
  • Skilled in quality tools such as 8D, 5Why, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and good command of English (written and verbal);
  • Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure with a strong focus on on-site control and issue closure.
