Job description

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector to perform dimensional, visual, receiving, and final inspections of aerospace components and materials. This role uses precision measurement equipment, engineering specifications, and quality procedures to verify compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements while supporting product quality and reliability.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform final inspection, receiving inspection, and in-process quality verification activities.
  • Inspect products, materials, and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensional and visual requirements.
  • Review and interpret quality standards, sampling plans, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Record, evaluate, and report inspection and quality data.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend quality or process improvements when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Follow established quality procedures, safety requirements, and standard work practices.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or related industry experience.
  • Dimensional and visual inspection experience on aviation, aerospace, aircraft, powerplant, avionics, or related equipment preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection requirements.
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify nonconforming conditions.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, email, and other Windows-based applications.
  • NAS-410 visual acuity certification or ability to meet certification requirements
  • Ability to accurately record and analyze inspection results.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree in an aviation-related field.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or aviation quality inspection environments.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing and inspection environment with exposure to production activities and aircraft or aerospace components.
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, handling parts, and performing detailed inspection work.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and computer systems throughout the shift.
  • Close vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment required for inspection activities.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in production areas.
