At Busy Beaver, it's our mission to be your favorite neighborhood home improvement center. We provide a "just right" assortment of everything you need-whether it's for routine yard maintenance or your next DIY project. Our stores offer the right mix of products at a great value every day, and our friendly, helpful staff love to help neighbors make the most of their homes.
Position Summary
As an Inventory Control & Lumber Yard Associate, you'll be responsible for keeping our store and warehouse organized, stocked, and ready to serve customers. This role is hands-on and fast-paced-perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys physical work, and thrives in a team environment.
What You'll Do
  • Unload delivery trucks and load customer pick-ups.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves or stored in the warehouse.
  • Inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and report issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas both in-store and in the warehouse.
  • Physically move and lift merchandise as needed.
  • Assist sales teams on the floor when needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including loading customer vehicles.
  • Follow direction, communicate effectively, and manage time efficiently.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise safely.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work in a physically active, hands-on role.
  • Team player with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Prior warehouse, inventory, or stockroom experience is a plus.
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Be part of a community-focused, locally rooted company.
  • Work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Opportunities to grow your career in retail and operations.
  • Employee discount on the products you know and love.
