The Position
Quality Control
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Mill Quality Control who reports to the shift Mill Operator and/or Operations Manager.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Taking samples off the screen decks every hour to make sure material is in spec.

  • Checking all equipment in there are is in good order and operating correctly.

  • Reporting any defects or safety issues to Mill Operator, maintenance department or Operations Manager.

  • Changing screens when needed to maintain a quality product.

  • Greasing screen decks daily and other equipment as needed if a problem arises.

  • Assist maintenance if needed when the plant is down or helping the mill laborer with clean-up while plant is being repaired.

  • Follow all MSHA regulations and help maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Basic data entry skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
