Job description

Job Title: QC Analyst Location: Novato, CA Type: Contract Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: Wednesday - Saturday (Onsite 4 days), swing shift (1pm-11:30 pm)

Overview Leading biotechnology company looking for an experienced QC Analyst. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree and 0-3 years of relevant laboratory experience; QC experience is preferred. Responsibilities
  • Facilitate incoming sample receipt and accessioning flow, decipher batch assignments across all assay types in accordance with best practices.
  • Execute analytical methods to facilitate in-process testing under applicable cGMP guidelines, and report results promptly to meet internal deadlines.
  • Evaluate assay validity, calculate and summarize results, perform trend analysis, and assist in compiling reports.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure systems for laboratory maintenance support inspection readiness.
  • Monitor and control laboratory supply and critical reagent inventories.
  • Qualify and provide training for specific analytical methods to less experienced staff.
  • Communicate proactively regarding compliance risks or deviations, initiate investigation records as needed.
  • Support test method validations, investigations, technical studies, and protocol transfers.
  • Participate in team meetings, suggest improvements for laboratory infrastructure and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support laboratory operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • 0-3 years of relevant laboratory experience; QC experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, cGMP practices, and QC principles.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience in PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Familiarity with BINOCS or similar scheduling systems is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems is advantageous.
  • Flexible with additional hours to meet production and laboratory needs.
