Job description

Quality Control Laboratory Analyst
We are hiring a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst for our Aurora, CO office!
As a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst, you will apply validated methods and work instructions to perform routine analyses and technical activities, ensuring that raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products are analyzed and monitored appropriately.
Your day-to-day:
  • Ensure compliance with PMI standards, legal requirements, and environmental, health, safety, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Promote a proactive, safety-first culture using preventive and predictive approaches.
  • Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, tobacco, semi-finished, and finished products according to approved procedures and methods.
  • Maintain the integrity and timely reporting of results within the laboratory management system and support certificate of analysis generation.
  • Review and release testing results completed by other laboratory personnel.
  • Support method validation, method transfers, and ISO 17025 accreditation activities.
  • Participate in the creation and review of procedures, work instructions, and quality documents.
  • Operate, verify, and calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with PMI and ISO requirements.
  • Maintain laboratory logbooks and records in compliance with QMS requirements.
  • Investigate out-of-specification results, resolve deviations, and contribute to corrective actions using problem-solving tools.
  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding products and testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS requirements and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support teams to ensure efficient quality processes and achieve quality and productivity goals.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field with 5+ years of laboratory experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of laboratory experience.
  • Experience in quality and laboratory environments within the tobacco, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong experience with HPLC, GCMS, Agilent software, and LabVantage LIMS.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical methods, and statistical techniques.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and share knowledge with junior staff.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards; experience in FDA-regulated industries is a plus.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $30/hour
