Job description

Westchester Plastics, LLC in Nesquehoning PA, is currently seeking Utility Workers to join their team.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  1. Report to Foreman or Shift Manager/Supervisor.
  2. Responsible for proper equipment set up and safe operation with regards to material inputs (such as hoppers, mixers, etc.), and outputs (shaker screens, screwlifts, baggers, etc.)
  3. Responsible for proper material stewardship of customer material being run on the associated production line he or she is working on.
  4. Responsible for safety and housekeeping on the associated production line he or she is working on.
  5. Responsible to handle, process, label, and package material according to customer specifications and AMETEK procedures.
  6. Work with QC Lab to sample products being produced and properly label/identify products.
  7. Ensure all paperwork in associated job folders is properly completed for the production line he or she is assigned to.
  8. Work with Customer Service and Materials teams to requisition and/or return raw materials.
  9. Ensure all unused materials are properly removed from the machine and labeled properly so they can be returned to the warehouse.
  10. Perform clean up's as necessary during changeovers.
  11. Assist maintenance as necessary during machine set-ups/changeovers.
  12. Perform any additional duties assigned by Shift Manager/Supervisor.

EDUCATION:

GED or High School Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Attention to details!
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Must be able to understand and monitor production equipment.

Union Job / Train on 1st are moved to a 2nd or 3rd shift.

Lifting: 50 pounds frequently / over 50 pounds requires a lift team

Climbing: Capable of climbing stairs, steps, and straight ladders

Walking & Standing: Capable of walking or standing 6-8 hours per shift

Cleaning Equipment: Capable of using brooms, shovels, vacuum cleaners, pushing and pulling, associated with this job.

Hand Tools: Capable of using hand tools and the physical requirements (reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling)

Physical Agility: Capable of stooping, bending, and reaching while performing other job requirements.

Mental Capability: Read scales, basic math, operational directions, and recordkeeping.
