Inspector 1 (Quality Control)


Shift: 1st Shift

Working Hours: 7:000 AM to 5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00 hour

$100 Referral Bonus

Position Summary

MS Companies is hiring immediately for a motivated and detail-oriented Inspector 1 (Quality Control) to support our automotive manufacturing clients. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality standards are met through inspection, documentation, and reporting using MS Companiesโ€™ technology-driven processes.


Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and/or manual inspection of parts and materials to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances to leadership
  • Follow established quality inspection procedures at all stages of production
  • Accurately record inspection results using company systems and tools
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding quality concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time as scheduled
  • Adhere to all company policies, client requirements, and safety regulations
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to visually identify defects in color, shape, size, or texture of parts
  • Must be able to hear and differentiate sounds in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday for extended periods on concrete floors (up to 10-12 hours)
  • Must be able to move within buildings and operational areas, including ascending and descending stairs
  • Must be able to reach, turn, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance to prevent falls
  • Must be able to reach overhead and perform repetitive movements
  •  Must be able to lift, carry, transfer, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to grasp with both hands and perform fine motor tasks requiring coordination and repetitive motion
  • Good hand-eye coordination for inspection and material handling
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including understanding and following detailed verbal instructions
  • Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with quality standards, work instructions, or inspection checklists
  • Experience using digital reporting systems (e.g., tablets, mobile apps, or Salesforce)
