Job description

The Quality Control Lab Technician III - Chemistry ensures company standards are met for all functions as they pertain to the QC Laboratory. Overtime is required to meet business needs. Responsibilities: Processes paperwork and logbook receipts associated with raw material, in-process/finished products testing.

Performs raw material testing assignment and release functions in the ERP system. Operates general analytical instruments during testing with raw material, IP, FP, and ST sample testing, such as an automatic titrator, FTIR, and dissolution testing. Labels, transcribes, reports sheets, and laboratory notebooks and records documentation as required by APs and SOPs.

Performs physical testing, such as particle size. Creates finished product certificates of analysis. Washes glassware as needed to minimize dirty glassware in the lab.

Verifies test results against specifications promptly, alerting management of any specification excursions. Verifies vendor's specifications and vendor's results to ensure specifications are met. Schedules, coordinates, and tracks raw material, in process, and finished product testing.

Coordinates with outside labs to ensure prompt delivery of results. Maintains the chemical inventory database, and associated MSDS. Receives incoming lab supplies and chemicals.

Works with QC Management to determine and implement production and quality control standards. Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are established and met. Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

Maintains strict standards of hygiene in the production area and throughout the facility. Follows/adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures. Performs other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

You must be available to work overtime every other weekend (Sat or Sun) Qualifications: 3 - 4 years of lab experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Adaptability/Flexibility - able to adapt in changing circumstances/environments and to embrace new ideas. Knowledge of laboratory techniques, terminology, equipment, and supplies.

Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely, and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations. Continuous Improvement - willingness to learn new things and comply with continuous improvements in procedures and processes. Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, double-checking their work.

Honesty/Integrity - follow through with company values and providing exceptional quality products. Safety Minded - follows/demonstrates awareness of all safety policies/procedures of self and others. Teamwork/Cooperation - ability to work well with others in a group and cooperate with others.
