Job Purpose

Supervise Quality Control personnel to ensure Product Quality and customer satisfaction.
Make sure all products released from Quality Control lab meet customer specifications.

Key Accountabilities

   Supervise Lab personnel in regards to all Quality testing, including Raw materials, semi finished production and in process checks
   Maintain calibration/verification procedures and ensure proper testing done in regards to ISO9001 standard
   Ensure proper inspection plans, panel standards, and wet standards are properly maintained and updated
   Involve and confirm the scale up process with MET, Production, and RDI to ensure products released for full scale production are Right First time and meet customer requirements
   Quality Process confirmation program to enhance the compliance and reduce risk of Quality issues
   Collaborate with Suppliers to ensure incoming material meet Quality Standards
   Maintain technical information by preparing required reports and appropriate documentation. Metrics including Cost of Quality will need to be calculated
   Assist with complaint and 8D investigations as relates to Product Quality
   Provides technical assistance and information to Customers, Suppliers, Sales and Internal departments to ensure product quality.
   Selects, develops and motivates by training, setting goals, monitoring, and appraising performance to establish and maintain a competent workforce

   Involved in Continuous Improvement and ALPS initiatives as they relate to Quality
   Manage Out of spec product releases with proper waiver approvals
   Manages safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state and local requirements.
   Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to lead and motivate a team
   Maintains a safe working environment by cleaning and maintaining laboratory and equipment. Maintain 5S standards
   Run Quality reports in SAP, utilizing SPC or statistical methods.

Level of Autonomy

   Making decisions related to batch adjustments and raw material rejections. 
   Making decisions related to the Quality Control department. 
   Making decisions regarding budget management and financial spending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university is required
  • Knowledge of quality assurance lab activities and procedures, technical knowledge of coatings
  • 5+ years of production/manufacturing/quality experience
  • Supervisor skills 3+ years
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, SharePoint, and SAP

Base salary range for this role is: $85,000 to $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
