Job description

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies Division is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for Meridian, MS.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include travel requirements)
  • Assist in inspection and testing of all finished products and raw material to ensure they meet Atlas quality
  • Keep all manufacturing specifications, test results on complaints, UL material and new product information confidential
  • Check material for
  • Monitor product
  • Test facer material using approved test methods and precision equipment to ensure that no defective material reaches the customer
  • Keep reports and records on all tests
  • Keep daily logbook on
  • Keep all testing equipment clean and in good working
  • Keep lab clean and maintain good working relationship with production supervisors and work with supervisors in solving problems resulting in defective

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (include Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of experience in roofing or coated glass facer manufacturing preferred

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (include computer, language, mathematical, and analytical skills required)
  • Strong PC literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and retain detailed customer and product information
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage changes in customer orders and communicate updates to production as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas
  • Experience entering, manipulating, and retrieving data from systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse personnel and customers
  • Professional presence and presentation when representing the organization to customers and the public
