Job Title: Quality Control Lab Technician
 Employment Type: Full-Time
 Location: Taylorsville, NC
 Pay: $21.00 per hour
 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st Shift)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Quality Control Lab Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Taylorsville, NC. This position is responsible for conducting quality inspections and laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming raw materials to verify compliance with purchase orders, material specifications, and quality standards
  • Conduct quality testing on start-up production samples during equipment setup and adjustment
  • Test in-process and finished products throughout production to ensure compliance with established specifications
  • Record, analyze, and document test results accurately to determine product acceptance or rejection
  • Prepare and issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for finished products prior to shipment
  • Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-conforming materials and communicate findings to appropriate departments for corrective action
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, testing documentation, and quality reports
  • Ensure all testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operated according to company procedures
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, and Plant Management to resolve quality concerns
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb, and crouch as needed throughout the shift
  • Manual dexterity to operate laboratory equipment and testing instruments
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and production areas
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise and workplace chemicals, including solvents such as MEK and Toluene
  • Strong visual attention to detail and ability to accurately record inspection data
