POSITION DESCRIPTION

Quality Control Technician

SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all operational activities meet established standards of quality and safety. This role involves conducting regular inspections and audits of various airport services, including ground handling, maintenance, and passenger services. The technician is tasked with identifying areas for improvement, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring the implementation of these actions. The technician is also expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices and to contribute to continuous improvement of service quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily quality checks on airport services and operations: Perform routine inspections to ensure adherence to established standards
  • Utilize specialized equipment for quality testing: Operate tools and devices specific to measuring and assessing service quality
  • Document findings and observations in detailed reports: Accurately record inspection results for analysis and review
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards: Flag discrepancies and potential issues to supervisors for immediate attention
  • Collaborate with the quality control team for audits: Participate in team-based audits to collectively assess and improve service quality
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for quality improvement: Offer practical insights based on field observations to enhance service standards

  • Monitor and report on the quality of incoming materials and supplies: Check the quality of external products and supplies used in airport services

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control or assurance, in the aviation industry
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screenย 
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysย
