Job description

Proficient Staffing Solutions is currently hiring a 1st shift Quality Control Inspector.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 year of experience
  • Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings

Schedule:

  • First Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Description:

  • Quality Control Inspector
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - 22.00

What you’ll do:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of fabricated parts
  • Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials (raw & repairs)
  • Maintain quality records
  • Interpret customer and supplier requirements (internal & external)
  • Certify Quality Control paperwork
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Use small hand tools such as calipers, micrometers & drop indicators

Skills

  • Ability to work using small hand tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Criteria:

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Receive information from team members regarding customer needs and product requirements and utilize this information to perform one’s function.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.
  • Knowledge of basic shop math.
  • Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs.
  • Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
