About the role
Analyst will be responsible for analyzing samples using manual and more complex instrumental techniques in accordance with prescribed methods and standard operating procedures.
About You
  • Perform all duties associated with sample analysis of more complex laboratory tests.
  • Analyze, interpret and review sample results, as well as peer review of other data.
  • Perform all quality control requirements associated with the methods and maintain appropriate records.
  • Perform all work within established quality control parameters and within specified turnaround times.
  • Record bench level observations and keep records in bound and electronic notebooks.
  • Troubleshoot and fix instrument malfunctions.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and a clean, orderly work area at all times.
  • Exercise laboratory safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related science is preferred.
  • ICPMS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred
  • 1-5 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to initiate corrective action without prompting and assist co-workers whenever necessary in order to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn-around times.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use (or learn to use) Laboratory Information Management System.
