Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Safety Administrative Assistant. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our food safety protocols. Your commitment to ensuring safe food practices will contribute significantly to our mission of promoting public health. Key Responsibilities:
  • Record Keeping and Compliance Documentation:
    • Maintain meticulous records of all food safety measures, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
    • Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and complies with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and other relevant standards3.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of food safety guidelines.
    • Facilitate communication between departments to address food safety concerns proactively.
  • Audit and Inspection Support:
    • Assist in preparing for third-party audits by organizing necessary documentation and coordinating audit logistics4.
    • Support the management during inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring all requirements are met and processes are transparent5.
  • Training and Education:
    • Coordinate and assist with the delivery of food safety training programs for staff, emphasizing the importance of food safety culture.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, suppliers, and internal teams.
