Job Title
Manager, QC Lab/Process Control Chemist
Job Description
In this role you
You will manage the Chemical Laboratory to assure compliance to GMP requirements per FDA QSR 21 CFR 820, Cosmetics GMP, EU Cosmetics GMP per ISO22716 and Canadian Natural Health Product Regulations. Assure that effective laboratory controls are established and monitored for continuous improvements.
Your role:
  • Develop and implement quality controls for purchased chemicals and manufactured batches.
  • Qualification of new inspection and chemical test methods. Support chemical and microbiological test method qualification of the methods executed by external laboratories.
  • Perform routine audit of the laboratory and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Perform annual product review per FDA GMP and Health Canada NHP Regulations.
  • Manage daily monitoring of the purified water quality.

You're the right fit if:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Lab Specifications, Quality Control Management, Chemical Microbiology test methods.
  • Prefer 3+ years of experience including leading people.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Ontario, Ca is $103,000 to $143,000 Annually.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
