Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Intern to join our Microbiology Team located in Indianapolis, IN!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

  • Analyze test results and utilize independent judgment to generate accurate and reliable results within established quality control requirements.

  • Maintain testing records, documentation, and laboratory data in accordance with regulatory and departmental requirements.

  • Perform all assigned duties in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), laboratory policies, and quality guidelines.

  • Participate in research and development activities as assigned.

  • Assist with the development, evaluation, and modification of laboratory procedures and processes.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence within the laboratory.

  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing activities.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by laboratory management or the Laboratory Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a scientific Bachelor's degree program in Biology or Microbiology

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures

About the Team:

The Microbiology department at Labcorp Biopharma Lab Services provides a range of clinical trial services for clients including providing data in different formats. They are a team of 30 members working in different positions ranging from lab assistants to Medical technologists; Scientists and different levels of management.
