Hercules Materials Holdingsis currently seeking aQuality Control Technicianfor our port operation in Detroitthat is a highly motivated and driven individual on the quest for a challenge. In this role, the QC Tech works hands-on with our management team and the customers that we are servicing by testing concrete and related materials during all phases of production.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor daily concrete production ensuring compliance with industry standards, initiate corrective actions with production and delivery personnel.
  • Present favorable company image to customers and employees.
  • Act as a company liaison between our production team, sales, site engineers, inspectors and customers, addressing concerns and complaints.
  • Assist in day to day laboratory functions, including cylinder handling, compression, aggregate sampling, grading and entering data into the QC computer data base.
  • Job site testing per company QC policies
  • Assist in maintaining plant site and equipment with high expectations of appearance and cleanliness in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience in the concrete industry
  • Test, document, and report concrete plastic properties
  • Able to effectively communicate, investigate and solve practical problems individually and as part of a team
