JOB TITLE: Quality Control Technician II
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Quality Control Technician II with a good eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality.
To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician will be passionate about quality and continuous improvement and can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role in the manufacturing industry
  • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
  • 2+ years of experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, caliper, gauge block, dial indicator, bore gauge, height gauge, optical comparator, profilometer, sine bar, and hardness tester
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing quality control principles and inspection methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience with manual GD&T inspection
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing expert problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and suggest effective solutions

PREFERED SKILLS
  • 2+ years of experience programming Zeiss CMM & Keyence measurement systems
  • 2+ years of experience working with quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 or other industry-specific certifications
  • 2+ years of experience with RCCAs, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software
  • Physical activities include lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, and transfer of product.

CORE DUTIES
  • Accurate inspection of mechanical parts, components, and assemblies. May include First Article, Receiving, In Process and Final inspection for conformance to engineering specifications and drawings
  • Obtain and utilize various measurement equipment
  • Communicate all nonconformances found with machine operators and supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challenges
  • Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and generate inspection reports
  • Efficient operation of established CMM and Keyence inspection programs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, participating in problem-solving teams, and driving quality culture throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager

HOURS
  • 1st shift
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
