Job description

General Summary
This position is accountable to ensure quality standards for manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include adhering to quality compliance with documents (i.e. spec drawings, procedures, guidelines) and participating in activities to improve processes for the business. Communicate with Engineering to review problems and propose solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with quality assurance engineer for defining the quality plans.
  • Perform reliability and qualification testing for prototypes, new products, and production build.
  • Collaborate with quality/manufacturing engineers for test data analysis.
  • Document test results and processes using defined test reports.
  • Assist in evaluating existing equipment improvements and new process equipment specifications.
  • Communicate with manufacturing supervisors to review production problem areas, special projects, and other items needing attention and follow-up.
  • Creating worksheet logs for production use to provide data (i.e. KPI): polisher log, connector log, i.e.
  • Assist the Engineering department with Quality Assurance
  • This position is responsible for promoting safety and quality in the production floor.
  • Skills Required
  • Work experience in reliability testing and measurement or other technical functions like repair, system engineering or verification.
  • Experience with measurement equipment and testing of software and hardware.
  • English/Spanish highly desirable
  • Technical/practical knowledge of fiber and copper cable highly desirable
