Position Overview

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team by ensuring products consistently meet company, customer, regulatory, and food safety standards. This role involves conducting quality inspections, monitoring production processes, collecting samples, supporting audits, and assisting with corrective actions to maintain product quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document routine quality control inspections throughout the production process.

  • Perform Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and personal hygiene inspections.

  • Collect food, water, and environmental samples for quality and microbiological testing.

  • Perform equipment calibration according to Quality Assurance procedures.

  • Identify, document, and investigate product and process non-conformities.

  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with the Quality Assurance team.

  • Monitor production activities and promptly report quality or food safety concerns.

  • Recommend improvements to quality processes and food safety systems.

  • Assist with internal and external audit preparation and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Review quality documentation and records for accuracy and completeness.

  • Support production staff retraining related to quality and food safety procedures when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP, food safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Perform additional quality assurance duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a restaurant, food manufacturing, sanitation, or related food production environment.

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.

  • Experience supporting food industry audits is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills.
