Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive quality improvement initiatives across the production lifecycle.
  • Plan, conduct, and lead internal and external quality audits.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Design and refine processes and mechanisms to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff on quality standards and processes.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Knowledge and utilization of AS9100, ISO 9001 and other applicable Military and statutory standards and specifications.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Certified Auditor or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and database experience.
  • Statistical analysis experience.
  • Experience participating in external audits as guide.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.
  • Majority of work hours spent on a computer.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.
