Role Description

Sperry Automatics is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a full-time, on-site position in Naugatuck, CT. The role involves inspecting and evaluating precision machined parts to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. Daily responsibilities include performing quality checks, first article inspection reports, gauge filing, sorting necessary lots, documenting inspection results, collaborating with the production team to address quality issues, and maintaining compliance with quality assurance practices and protocols. Prioritizes and performs required quality control inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
  • Blueprint reading and diagnosis.
  • Experience in conducting detailed inspections and applying quality management principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to detect and resolve quality issues.
  • Familiarity with precision machining and manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Experience in using measurement tools and inspection equipment (ex. micrometer, comparator, caliper etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical /shop training preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus.
