  1. Description:

The Level 3 Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for coordination of all paperwork associated with a typical new model launch. as well as, maintaining all documentation as required by the customer. He/she is also the initial contact person for coordinating troubleshooting and corrective action efforts in the reduction of internal process variation and quality improvement. Typical interaction is with the Customer, Engineering Personnel, Procurement Personnel, and Production Personnel. Direct Supervisors and Training Level 1 & 2 QA Engineers. Supervise hourly technicians when required.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Process all necessary part inspection instructions (Internal and Supplier)...
  • Complete and sign-off on customer specific approval process (PPAP /PSW, etc.).
  • Obtains customer approval for control of parts.
  • Ensure and sign off on data collection method and part actual condition meets the requirements.
  • Issue Quality Concerns as needed.
  • Interact with external and internal customers, and suppliers.
  • Monitors control plan for consistent quality and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Meets quality and quantity levels of assigned work, housekeeping , and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate accept4d/rejected material movement between departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Generates reports, graphs, and charts as needed. Maintain weekly report for customer concerns.
  • Oversees data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts.
  • Inspects/test materials for aesthetic and dimensional accuracy.
  • Monitor and enforce ISO/TS16949 and - ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
  • Verify accuracy of all documentation
  • Supervise and train Level 1 & 2 QA Engineers and present performance reviews as necessary.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Polices and Procedures.
  1. Education:
  • High School Diploma, GED or Higher.
  1. Experience:
  • 6 or more years experience in the Quality field with 3 yrs in a manufacturing environment.
  1. Skills:
  • Computer skills in working with Windows operating system as well as Word Processor, Spreadsheet software.
  1. Training Specific To Position:
  • Capable of using basic measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, coordinate measuring machine.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, etc
  1. OTHER:
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice..
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift.
  • Capable of overall professionalism in a business environment..
