WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Quality Control Inspector II, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Perform diversified granite rock or bench inspections on a variety of standard or custom aerospace parts, products, assemblies, or raw materials that are being used in manufacturing products.
  • Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices.
  • Read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications and customer documents.
  • Inspect product to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density or other measurable or observable characteristics of material.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections following the installation of full assembly.
  • Recommend, write or modify sampling and inspections procedures.
  • Use statistical tools to chart variance.
  • Work with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure product manufactured meet customer requirements.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement.

ABOUT YOU:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Three or more years of relevant industry.
  • Able to interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T blueprints.
  • Able to read and comprehend work documentation in the English.
  • Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
  • Familiar with first Piece inspection, GD & T, Operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
  • Self-motivated individual that needs minimal supervision to be successful.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Audit Process.
  • Knowledge of operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
